What went in

On the ground in Twin Creeks, Seguin.

This is the standard handover on a new custom build. The house is finished, the drive is poured, and the ground around all four sides is exactly as it was left. What follows decides whether the property looks like a home or like a construction site that stopped.

The work was planned for the whole lot at once rather than a front bed now and a back yard later, which is why the bed lines carry through from the approach around to the courtyard.

  • Full sod installation, front lawn and rear courtyard
  • Young shade trees set in mulched tree wells through the lawn
  • Steel-edged gravel beds running the foundation line and property edges
  • Drought-tolerant foundation planting, including agave and sage
  • Courtyard planting bed built around the fountain
